Young Children, Teens, Emotional Regulation, Anxiety, Adjustment

Shelby recognizes that meaningful change begins with slowing down and truly understanding what each child or family is going through. She is passionate about working with young children, teens and parents to support their unique path towards healing. Shelby believes all people have innate strengths that can be uncovered when they are met with compassion, safety and attuned support.

Shelby helps children build practical coping skills and works alongside children and parents to navigate challenges such as anxiety, grief, behavioral struggles and life transitions. She aims to honor each child’s individuality and each parent’s role. Shelby understands the complexities of parenting and creates a space where parents feel understood and supported. Together, she helps families strengthen connection, understanding and resilience.

She received her Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Texas Christian University and is completing her Masters in Human Development Counseling at Vanderbilt University. She has training in Child-Centered Play Therapy and experience supporting children navigating grief, loss, and adjustment-related concerns. With a strong developmental framework, Shelby incorporates play, art, and collaborative creative techniques to tailor her approach to each child's unique needs.
