Sam is passionate about supporting individuals, couples, and families reach their goals and build a life they feel excited about. He strives to create a warm, collaborative space where clients feel heard, understood, and empowered to show up authentically. Sam believes everyone has a unique story, and he sees therapy as a place to explore that story with curiosity and compassion.
Sam welcomes individuals from all backgrounds and walks of life. His developing areas of focus include couples and relationship work, family dynamics, sexual wellness, men’s mental health, and teens who may be struggling or feeling misunderstood. He also works with concerns related to anxiety, trauma, and major life transitions.
Sam takes a thoughtful, flexible approach to therapy, drawing from psychodynamic and existential perspectives to help clients better understand themselves and their patterns. He also incorporates evidence-based approaches such as Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), mindfulness practices, and Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT).
Sam is currently completing his master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health , Counseling at Vanderbilt University.
